NERD OUT!!!!

Nerderism (yeah, you like that) of the day:

"You are the way you were meant to be."
-Iron Sky (2012)

HOOOKAY SO! Here is zee ert.... AND IT IS BEING ATTACKED BY MOON NAZIS!

Moon Nazis you ask? Well let me tell you.

So I got back from work, hung out with the kid and the hubs, kid goes to bed and husband puts on "Iron Sky" a 2012 Blind Spot Pictures, 27 Films Production, New Holland Films Production, about moon nazis trying to take over the earth. Yes, moon nazis. (Netflix) I started paying attention when pseudo Albert Einstein turns a black man Aryan. (Horrible graphics) Did I mention the US president is a female? No? Well, they made her look like Palin.  (Haha) She has a minion and she wears all leather. Both of them are trying to do things to get re-elected, things such as you know starting a global war against moon nazis.. no bigee.

Justin learned that high heels are in-fact deadly.

Favorite Parts:

"All presidents who start a war in their first term get re-elected" - Faux Pas Palin

"I am like Franklin Roosevelt!" - FPP
"If you are Roosevelt who is your General Patton? Me?! Oh my what will I.." -Minion
"What will you wear? Oh you will figure something out, you always do." -FPP

HAHA female president problems.

"Okay, who didn't arm their spaceship?" - FPP
*Finland slowly raises hand*
"Great that's just great. You all broke your word!" -FPP
"So did you!" - Other countries
"We always break ours, that is just what we do!"- FPP

^Discussing arming space ships with Nukes

Meanwhile...

Black gent finds cure turns himself black wins former Nazi female's heart. When she sees the error of her Nazi ways she sees him for who he truly is... (all together now, AWWW)

"You are the way you were meant to be"

So though there was some very silly moments to this movie here is what I got from it.

1. There may be Nazis or other militants (perhaps even us!) hiding on the Dark Side of the Moon waiting for global conquering.

2. If I were ever president, I would in fact be worried about what to wear the day I lead the U.S. into war. (Very important.)

3. Most of the time people do not know they are wrong so you should show them.

4. Everyone is EXACTLY how they were made to be.

Gotta go, just found out Netflix has Treasure Planet.

Fail

Alright, so this post may be a little long since I failed at the whole blogger thing.

First of all Happy New Year everyone!! I had a great time visiting Austin for two whole weeks! My husband, daughter and I did many exciting things. Miya got baptized and her great great aunts were able to be there as well as her great grandma, Elaine. Many of my hometown friends showed their support as well, it is great to know there are so many people who care!

We went to Harlingen for Christmas for the first time in about six years. Grandma made dutch pancakes, pan akin? Dutch Baby? It is basically a puffed baked pancake, it was a huge hit. Pictures coming soon! My mom and I made a ton of different cookies. Even though something went wrong every time it was still fun. (I think I will just blame the humidity.)

New Year's Eve James took us to Haven in downtown Austin. We were able to get VIP access and it was a blast! They had confetti canons, couches and never had to wait long for a drink. I was able to get my "movie style" NYE kiss with my hubby for the first time. Who doesn't love counting down then getting blasted with confetti as you kiss the love of your life?! I did feel bad about the girls passed out on the couches and falling over in their heals. I am glad to know if I had gone over board there were a few great people to watch out for me. It seemed like some of these girls had no one.

Back to the whole Military to Spouse thing. Let me tell you something, it sucks.

After getting out I unfortunately gained the weight I had lost. I am happy to say I have found a great plan, Jaimie Eason's LiveFit on bodybuilding.com. I started today and I absolutely loved the first work out. I am still working on what weight is right for me. When I walked into the gym it was awesome. My friend Michelle's face lit up to see me back. I will now be getting up at 4 a.m. to work out with her group, oh boy. Michelle works at the station gym, she is one tough chick and has no problem telling me to suck it up. What best describes her? Well, you know that dog on Up? SQUIRREL!

My mom helped convince me to start selling Mary Kay. I haven't sold anything yet but hopefully soon. Yes I completely stand behind the product and the price. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it.

Not only did I gain some weight I dropped into a depression of boredom. Fortunately it only took two weeks to find a job. I am now a supervisor at the station bowling ally, which will be perfect while I am going to school.

After going back and forth about a million times, I finally decided to go for a Marketing/Management degree. I am eager to start retraining my brain.

What are your New Year's resolutions?

1. Healthy life style change
2. 20 lbs in 12 weeks, 51 in 8 months.
3. Be a better me in and out.

In the beginning

How does one begin a blog? The most simplistic way, one would think, would be write about themselves. Their likes, dislikes, passions and dreams. Lay it all out on the table at once.

Maybe away back I would have chose this course, but this evening I choose a different path. A course that will bring readers on a journey of complete spontaneity. Some days may be of a personal journey. Other days could lead senses soaring through a culinary success, or disaster.

To be honest, I don't even know where this will take me. My hope is guide people to who I am with each new post, bringing them closer to me, Jolene Bopp.  Please join me as I begin a new unknown road, and welcome to my new beginning.

"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
